In order to have a detached window, you would have to include a Project Selector pane to match Cascade with the Project being worked against. I can see having a Floating Chat Pane within the Project Space. I can see the Detached window design for use in multi-monitor configurations.

I was just about to make this very same request. Whilst we can stretch the window across 2 screens this doesn't work very well if they are of differing resolutions.

That is a much anticipated feature, that would make my life easier. I would also like it to be possible to open it as an editor, like you would open a new file, or a search.

Also would be great to make the front adjustable, as sometimes it's too small to read the cascade text.
