On Windows, use Win+H to enable speech to text mode.

100% want this feature as well! Right now I use Wispr Flow and it works great but I would love something built in.

Interesting aside (I really want this feature too), I've managed to get a sort of voice mode set up using VS Code Voice + this Cascade memory.
Usage:
- create a now.voice_input.txt file in your current project diretory
- Ask Cascade to remember this macro.
The user has set up a system where they can use voice input by typing commands in our chat:
1. "rvi" - Read the current content of the now.voice_input.txt File in the current project directory
and respond to it as if it was directly typed in the chat.
This allows the user to dictate longer messages using voice-to-text into the file, then simply type
"rvi" to have me read and respond to that content.
The system is designed to work across different projects by looking for now.voice_input.txt in
the current project directory.
- Open the file, and hit ctrl + alt + V to start voice mode.
- Speak something and then hit escape.
- Save the file or set up auto-save on window focus lost
- hit ctrl + L to go to Cascade panel.
- Type rvi(short for "read voice input")
- press Enter.
Cascade can then respond to query.

This will be a good selling point for WindSurf

This is where programming is going anyway. Might as well get a head start.

The reasoning was already so good that I was almost able to watch the baby and still work from home. If we would have Voice input AND output (4o advanced voice reading out the end result of an action) I could actually be doing two things at the same time by both listening/speaking AND being there for my kid with both hands!
